Love Advice

I'm not good with love advice;
I think everyone can see that,
But I do have something
For one small question.

If a friend should ever come and ask;
"I like this guy," or "I like this girl."
"I want to tell them, but I'm not sure
Of what they'd say.
What do you think I should do?"

Now I'd just smile and ask;
"What do you think is worse:
Saying something and wishing you hadn't,
Or saying nothing and wishing you had?"

Let them ponder and let them ask
What my answer would be.
Let them see and let them wonder
Why my smile looks so sad.

"It is better to be embarrassed for a day,
Then to regret for a lifetime."
